Hey, look! How about a few German Week foods at ALDI? These are always top notch, so stock up while available — including, of course, their ever-popular Deutsche Küche pork schnitzel at $8.99 per 24 oz box.

ALDI German Week 2023 (May edition)

Speaking of German Week faves: Frozen strudel is also back! On the sweet side, you have your choice of Deutsche Küche apple or fruits of the forest strudel at $3.29 a box, while on the savory side you can look for Deutsche Küche spinach ricotta or artichoke cheese strudel at $3.99 a box. Oh, and speaking of sweet, Deutsche Küche Donauwelle or Bienenstich indulgent cake will run you $3.99, and Specially Selected German luxury mousse cake is $8.99.

While in the frozen section, be sure also to pick up a box of Deutsche Küche Bavarian soft pretzels or pretzel sticks… although these are now up to $4.79.

You can also look for Deutsche Küche schupfnudeln, available in pickle cheese or mushroom for $4.99 per 20 oz bag, while that same $4.99 could also get you 20 oz of Deutsche Küche cheese or garlic sage spaetzle.

Moving over to German Week Finds for your pantry, a 17.6 oz pack of Deutsche Küche egg spaetzle is $3.49.

While jars of Deutsche Küche red cabbage with apples are on the shelf at $2.49 per 24 oz.

While stocking up on your jars of German delicacies, Deutsche Küche garlic or chili cornichons will run you $2.49, while bigger jars of Deutsche Küche German style pickles are $3.49.

Deutsche Küche muesli is back this week too, and a 16 oz box is priced at $3.29. And look for tins of Deutsche Küche herring fillets in flavored sauce, $1.69.

Sweeten up that pantry, too. Finds here include:

  • Deutsche Küche chocolate wafer rolls, $2.49

  • Deutsche Küche Doppelino cookies, $3.49
  • Deutsche Küche jaffa cakes, $2.99

Look also for unadvertised German Week foods: My store sported peanut puffs, chicken schnitzel, smoked knackwurst, and more that aren’t listed in the sneak peek ad.

Both advertised and unadvertised ALDI prices can vary by store as well as by region. Here are more top ALDI Finds for the week of 5/3/23, while you may also Find some on 4/30/23 in Sunday ad markets, or if your store tends to put products out early.

A lot of outdoor fun this week, and the graduation cards are a good deal for the quality.

(This photo is last year’s fairy garden kit as my store didn’t have a lot out yet; the designs are similar but slightly different this year.)

And the micro pruners are super handy for smaller jobs, or cutting lilacs and other flowers.

New and/or seasonal food Finds

So many more new and seasonal products popped up this week, too so be sure to walk the aisle and check out what’s available in your store. (Also, be sure to check out previous weeks’ ALDI Finds posts for even more seasonal Finds and pics!)

Funnel cake kits are a perennial fave with the kids, of course. More of the new items I spotted recently include:

  • Baker’s Corner funnel cake kit, $2.99
  • Stonemill grill seasonings, $2.69
  • Stonemill dry rub seasonings, $4.69
  • Burman’s regional style BBQ sauces, $3.29

  • Simply Nature organic spinach or Italian chicken sausage, $4.99

It’s definitely starting to taste like summer now, right?

The Stonemill grill seasonings are sure to come in handy as the weather gets nicer.

Chipotle cheddar is back! This stuff is so good, especially combined with a milder cheese like Havarti in a grilled cheese sandwich. Yum. Plus, the price actually came down a little — it was $2.49 last time around, but $2.19 right now.

And if you’re going to have a hotdog this summer, 100% beef is always a good way to go…

Speaking of dogs… ice cream for your dogs, ice cream for you, summer for everyone.
