A local favorite, this event provides fun for the whole family!  The festival will feature many different historic skills and trades demonstrations, as well as fun activities for kids of all ages.  This year’s theme “Food Traditions Past and Present” will highlight foods and cooking from the 18th century, along with the trades that made it possible to put food on the table in early America. Modern food trucks will also be on-site, offering a variety of delicious eats!

Designed to showcase Lansdowne’s ongoing commitment to the arts, the Lansdowne Arts on the Avenue Festival annually features 70+ juried artists, live music, performances, demonstrations, activities for the kids, food trucks, and a beer garden. Founded in 2003 by the Lansdowne Economic Development Corporation, the festival now celebrates 20 years of showcasing art and crafts in Delaware County.

Community Day begins with a parade from Neumann University (Neumann Drive) starting at 9:00 am. The parade will proceed along Concord Road to the Aston Township Community Center. The parade will feature local community groups and organizations, as well as musical entertainment.

Inside the community center, the Annual Business Expo will be held for all Aston businesses and organizations interested in displaying their products and services. Other community festivities will be held outside. There will be free rides sponsored by Bette’s Bounces, games, food, drinks, and contests for everyone to enjoy.

Kids, big and small, are invited to celebrate the season with us during a day of farm-style fun! Get up close to trucks and tractors, check out other vehicles and equipment, suit up in firefighter gear, take a hayride, and even milk a mechanical cow.

The Museum will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with free admission* to the galleries, including the featured exhibition, Fragile Earth: The Naturalist Impulse in Contemporary Art.
In addition to free admission, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., join in creative art activities* led by teaching artists. Think about life on this planet and beyond as you design colorful creatures and experiment with moving parts while making mobiles. Explore the Fragile Earth exhibition to discover how artists transform natural and non-traditional materials into art as they advocate for the environment.
