What to do this weekend with your family? Here is a list of things you can enjoy with your family this weekend: Please call ahead before leaving your house to ensure the venue is still hosting the event. Due to the new COVID guidelines, many venues have cut back on the number of visitors they can allow.



Ridley Township's FREE Outdoor Family Movie Night on Friday, June 4th, on the lawn of the Township Municipal Building. The Croods: A New Age will be shown at 8:30 p.m. 


The celebration will take place on Saturday, June 5, 2021, and return to the historic 1742 Square Tavern grounds. Activities for the day will include: The 1st Continental Regiment of Foot encampment showing the life of the colonial soldiers during the Revolutionary War will be on the field at the Tavern.



Visit the whimsical world of Mo Willems and his cast of lovable characters, including best friend duo Elephant and Piggie, faithful companion Knuffle Bunny and The Pigeon, the wily city bird best known for his antics in Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!

Activities in the exhibition will give children the opportunity to make art that is inspired by Mo Willems and to learn about the social and emotional lives of the author’s popular characters.



Linvilla Orchards's Strawberry Festival takes place annually at the beginning of June during the peak of the local Strawberry Season. With acres of Strawberries, you can pick your own delicious, fresh strawberries from our fields.

Every year, Linvilla’s Bakery presents Delaware County’s largest Strawberry Shortcake...  you’ve got to see it to believe it!  Carrying on with tradition, our homemade Strawberry Shortcake will be presented at precisely 11am.



The Philadelphia Flower Show will take place June 5 - 13, 2021, at the historic Franklin Delano Roosevelt Park (FDR Park) in South Philadelphia, taking advantage of the park’s inspiring natural beauty and expansive central location adjacent to South Philadelphia’s Sports Complex area.



As guests walk through this Dinosaur adventure, they can get up close and personal with almost 75 life-like creatures, reptiles, and life-size dinosaurs, with most standing over 25 feet tall and spanning over 60 feet long, including T-Rex, Velociraptors, and Stegosaurus, just to name a few.
Dino Stroll will be the most realistic tour back into history with animatronic dinosaurs that are created with moving heads, necks, tails, wings, eyes blinking, mouths that open and close, Breathing movements, synchronized sounds, spraying water, and many more exquisite details that bring them to life.



On the first Sunday of every month, the Barnes offers free admission and programming to its visitors. Guests can enjoy talks, performances, and hands-on activities throughout the day. Tickets are limited and must be reserved in advance.

Come sail with us! Kalmar Nyckel offers river cruises, day sails, and appearances from May through October in 2021. Sails are limited to 25 passengers, and reservations are required.




Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest is one of the Philadelphia Waterfront's favorite Summertime traditions featuring outdoor roller skating, boardwalk games and rides, mini-golf, and great food and drinks, all with soaring views of the Delaware River and Ben Franklin Bridge. Summerfest is the perfect place for a family outing, a school trip, or a meet-up with friends.




The new Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink will offer outdoor roller skating at Dilworth Park from Friday, April 30 through Sunday, June 27. The rink’s retro-inspired design will feature a checkerboard floor and market lights. A colorful installation of overhead hula-hoops.



Elmo’s Springtacular at Sesame Place is filled with furry fun and exciting events! On weekends from April 24 through June 20, join in on the fun with an exciting lineup of meet & greets, music, magic, pirate adventures, and fireworks. With limited capacity, physical distancing, increased cleaning, and more, it’s a great time to get back to fun in our spacious outdoor park.



Daytime, evening, and holiday-themed hayrides run throughout the seasons. Hayrides are family-friendly, and we operate many hay wagons at the same time during our peak hours. If it's your first time visiting Linvilla Orchards, taking a hayride should be at the top of your list!
 


Travel back in time 66 million years ago and journey to an age when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Encounter 24 life-size creatures, learn about these prehistoric giants, the rise of humans, and our impact on wildlife and the planet!  Timed tickets are required.



Reel in fun and enjoy a day fishing at Linvilla's Orchard Lake!  Orchard Lake was originally constructed to provide irrigation water for some of the farm’s many crops.  However, creating a fishing destination was an equally important priority.  In 2004 trout fishing opened at Orchard Lake, and it has been a popular activity ever since.  Reserve tickets in advance.

Guests to the Philadelphia Museum of Art can pay what they wish for admission every Friday evening and the first Sunday of the month. Reservations are required.
