How To Teach Digital Entrepreneurship to Your Child or Students

Since our world is dynamic and changes rapidly, we cannot say for sure which professions will be in demand in five or ten years. According to “The Future of Jobs Report” by World Economic Forum, by 2025, 85 million jobs may be displaced by a shift in the division of labour between humans and machines. At the same time, 97 million new jobs may appear, and these roles should be more adapted to the emerging division of labour between humans, machines, and algorithms. Needless to say, all these trends create a highly uncertain outlook for the future job market.

Today’s children should therefore be ready to get re-skilled and up-skilled continuously throughout their lives, something that we are already beginning to see happen. Professional profiles will need to be updated many times during the career years.

An entrepreneurial mindset is something that will help children overcome life’s obstacles and constraints. So, why not teach kids entrepreneurship from an early age to help them get prepared for the “big” life?

An entrepreneur is always an innovator. These are the kind of people who think creatively, are ready to take risks, and, of course, inspire the people around them. Diving into entrepreneurship early will help children develop the competencies that will be useful in their professional lives and their personal ones. Even if a kid doesn’t choose to become self-employed, such a skill set will definitely help them to succeed, no matter which career path they choose to follow.

Skills taught through entrepreneurship

Let’s look at a few of the competencies and skills that children obtain through learning entrepreneurship at an early age.

Creative thinking

Being creative is essential for staying competitive, and here is why:

● Creativity helps us to see problems from different angles and gain new perspectives

● Creative entrepreneurs spot problems or market needs before most others would and can come up with brand-new ideas and concepts;

● Creativity allows us to consistently move forward as we need to stay competitive in a constantly changing environment.

Goal setting

The ability to set goals is an important skill to succeed in today’s world. Proper goal setting keeps you focused, organized, and motivated. Entrepreneurship goes hand-in-hand with goal setting. It is essential for business people to have a long-term vision and to break down big goals into smaller bitesize tasks to be completed.

In this sense, developing an entrepreneurial mindset is going to help kids significantly with lifelong S.M.A.R.T. goal-setting skills. The S.M.A.R.T. term was first mentioned by George T. Doran in November 1981, and allows us to stay focused on our goals.

Make goals clear and reachable:

· Specific (simple, sensible, significant).

· Measurable (meaningful, motivating).

· Achievable (agreed, attainable).

· Relevant (reasonable, realistic and resourced, results-based).

· Time-bound (time-based, time-limited, time/cost limited, timely, time-sensitive).

Planning and allocating resources efficiently

Although we live in an era of global opportunities, our resources are still limited for a variety of reasons. This is especially true about time.

It is important to teach children to rationally allocate their time and to be able to set priorities. Equally, kids need to learn to be recognized when they legitimately need a break and to not be afraid to take one. This is one more component of an entrepreneurial skillset.

Awareness

Another important skill to develop is awareness in decision-making. For example, what is a child actually choosing when they opt to shift their focus from their entrepreneurial creativity and goals to play with their friends. Being exposed to entrepreneurship early will greatly assist kids in understanding their own decisions — both in everyday situations and in more significant aspects of life.

A game-changing way to learn entrepreneurship

With the development of business and technology, various courses, schools, and programs began to appear that teach children the skills of entrepreneurship. Although each is different, there is one thing that unites them all — the desire to give children the invaluable freedom to do what they truly love.

This is what we are passionate about. Inspired by the idea of making entrepreneurship accessible to children around the world, we have created a program that allows students to instantly put working business approaches into practice.

We can’t wait to share with you the unique features of our project that we believe students will love.

Real-life education

Studying at school often provides mainly theory that can be difficult to apply in practice. Students do not actually understand why they perform certain tasks, what the desired outcome of a project is, or how the obtained knowledge can be applied in real life. As a result, interest is lost.

We are supporters of a different approach. so We thought, “Why not give students a chance to start an online business from scratch and end making real money by following the proven strategies that we share?” A real-life experience such as this should be truly exciting and motivating and that is exactly what I do at URLYstart.

A step-by-step guidance

Successful business models can and should be replicated. Programs that provide step-by-step strategies work best. Watch our video guides and tutorials and follow the steps we take to build your own money-making online business.

Gamification

To ensure that the interest of our students does not fade for a second, we have gamified the entire learning process. Earn rewards for completing certain tasks or unlocking a new level. Communicate with other students around the globe and help each other move through each level.

Solutions for different ages

Our program has been designed for two age groups.

With the first one, aimed at ages 8+, the students can get a business up and running quickly, within a few hours, offer any kind of product or service, and will experience near-instant success! The program is a good fit for children with short attention spans, family activities, classroom projects, and homeschooling.

The second program is aimed at ages 16+. Here you can start a venture with unlimited profit potential or bring an already existing business to a new level. Learn valuable hard and soft skills and become an expert in what you are doing. Having mastered these competencies, you can run any kind of online business you can imagine!

Of course, it is important to understand that success does not come through magic. So, be sure to dedicate time and effort to follow our proven step-by-step strategies, and you will succeed in your endeavor.

Summary

The development of an entrepreneurial spirit is going to greatly help children succeed in their lives. With a growth-based mindset, it will be easier to face the uncertainty of the future and to handle the variety of socioeconomic challenges that will inevitably arise.

Being taught entrepreneurship from an early age is aimed to develop such skills as goal setting, creativity, planning, and awareness in decision-making. And when a person is mindfully doing what they are passionate about, success is inevitable.

Ignite the entrepreneurial spark within your child today become part of the URLYstart movement to improve as many kids and family’s lives as possible.
