What to do this weekend with your family? There is so much to do for families and kids, especially now that venues are open and happy to welcome you back. Here is a list of things you can enjoy with your family this weekend.

Based on Roald Dahl’s best-selling book, James is off on an epic adventure to track down the peach from the old fruit tree. Along the way, he’ll meet his friends like Spider, Earthworm, and Ladybug, who will help guide him on this exciting adventure that puts courage to the test.



Join us on August 6th as we celebrate all the summer goodness. The very best of summer fruits and vegetables are all ripe at the same time! Corn, tomatoes, squash, eggplant, peppers, peaches, summer apples, blackberries, nectarines, and sunflowers all fill our store and fields.



Enjoy a free concert on Impala Plaza with City Love, a Philly-based social justice music and education group.



The Museum will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with free admission*to the galleries.  
In addition to free admission, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. join in creative art activities led by teaching artists and discover native flora and fauna with Brandywine Conservancy’s Environmental Educator. At 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., enjoy colorful dance performances by Danza Tenochli de Casa Guanajuato Kennett Square in the Museum’s outdoor courtyard. In the galleries, seek and find details from paintings in the Gatecrashers exhibition. 
Pre-registration is required for free-timed tickets and art activities; spaces are limited. 


Join us this Saturday, 8/6 at 10 - 11 am for Nature Tots! This month, we will be reading "Inch by Inch" by Leo Lionni, going outside to measure with our own inchworm, then finishing with a craft!

The Alice Express is a brand-new retelling of Alice in Wonderland adapted by students from The Pathway School with the support of Pete Pryor and Emma Gibson.  Full of invention, imagination, and delight - join Alice for a mad-cap adventure!

The musical adaptation of Nickelodeon’s long-running animated children’s sitcom comes to Summer Stage! Incredibly fun and family-friendly, The SpongeBob Musical is a timeless story of identity, crisis, and community featuring an eclectic score of music with something for everyone!




Celebrate our Animal Care Co-Op Members as they showcase their year of hard work. Members will be judged based upon their knowledge and showmanship skills!
Not sure what "showmanship" means? Then come to our August "Family Farmyard"! When not showing, Co-Op members will be on hand to answer questions and share with you their knowledge.
Enjoy the Farm on this Summer Saturday and BYO-Picnic. We'll have yard games, a self-guided craft, and other activities to enjoy while down at the Barn!




Mr. Jason from the Middletown Free Library will be bringing the library's extensive LEGO collection to the Parkside Municipal Center for families to enjoy building with! He will also be bringing some of the library's iPads for those that want to turn their LEGO creations into stop-motion movies.




Join Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the whole gang as they sing, dance, and celebrate their unique outlook on the world in this newly updated musical. Based on the beloved Peanuts comic strip by Charles M. Schulz, The World According to Snoopy sparkles with wit and warmth as it depicts life as seen through the eyes of Schulz's unforgettable characters.




The Philadelphia  Chinese Lantern Festival illuminates Franklin  Square through August 14th
Enjoy more than 30 new lantern displays, a new Franklin Square Fountain Show, live performances, authentic cuisine, festival foods, the Dragon Beer Garden, and mini-golf and carousel attractions at the most immersive lantern festival in the United States!



Free concerts in Rose Tree Park's scenic outdoor amphitheater have been a popular Delco tradition for more than four decades! Take in top-notch entertainment of all kinds, from Classical to Cajun, Motown to Broadway, Doo Wop to Rock & Pop, tribute shows, and everything in between.

Showtime is 7:30 PM on Wednesday through Sunday evenings unless otherwise noted. (Timing changes for two-morning children's shows and an afternoon Juneteenth celebration.)

Ice skating at Iceworks in Aston is genuinely one of the most fun things to do with your kids in Delaware County. 





This summer, Longwood is beautiful gardens by day and the magic of Light: Installations by Bruce Munro at night.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art guests can pay what they wish for admission every Friday evening and the first Sunday of the month. Reservations are required.
