UPDATE: Oct. 12, 2022, 6:00 p.m. EDT This post has been updated with the latest and greatest Prime Early Access Sale deals.

This week's inaugural Prime Early Access Sale isn't just another Prime Day-style savings event. It's a chance for Amazon to prove itself in what's panning out to be a highly competitive holiday shopping season. Can the retail giant come up with deals that are so good, they convince consumers not to defer until Black Friday (or check things off their wishlist elsewhere)?

If the first day of the Prime Early Access Sale was any indication, the answer is a surprisingly enthusiastic "yes": We've been seeing tons of record-low prices across almost every department so far, from Alexa-enabled smart home devices to TVs, video games, robot vacuums, kitchen appliances, pet essentials, outdoor gear, and even new Apple gadgets. We'll be monitoring and keeping track of the most "worth it" buys in a running list (below) as the sale progresses through the end of the day on Oct. 12, so bookmark this page and check back often to see if the momentum holds.

Note: All newly added deals are marked with a ✨, while deals with a strikeout were either sold out or no longer available at their sale price when we last looked. Anything marked with a πŸ”₯ has dropped to an all-time low price.

Finally, the AirPods Pro got an update, and it was worth the wait. With improved active noise cancellation (on what was already impressive ANC on the first gen), and improved battery life, these are some of the best, if not the best, headphones Apple has to offer. And they just hit an all-time low price. β€”Bethany Allard, Shopping Reporter

The Petkit Pura X was our pick for the most well-designed litter box in our roundup for best automatic litter boxes, and for good reason. It looks more like a cat hideout than a litter box, and is jam-packed with smart features. Take advantage of app control and odor removal, as well as a thermal sensor, infrared sensor, weight sensor, and anti-pinch infrared sensors, so you'll always be in the know when it comes to your cat's habits. β€”Jae Thomas, Deputy Shopping Editor

Even without the mopping functionality just announced for the Combo version of the j7+, the OG j7+ is still a super solid investment β€” especially when it drops back to all-time low pricing. It was the first Roomba to introduce Genius Technology and PrecisionVision Navigation to avoid small obstacles that were previously problem-causers, like phone chargers and pet waste. The j7+ also self-empties. β€”Leah Stodart, Shopping Reporter
